Potley Hill pre-school in Yateley, Hampshire that began in 1979. It serves families living in Yateley, Blackwater, Sandhurst, Hawley and the surrounding areas. Children are accepted from 2 years to school age and the school prides itself on it's safe, secure and stimulating environment.
There play area offers a range of activities for the children, and is regularly used as part of the learning on offer. We are pleased to have worked with the school to provide a full rejuvenation of patio's, decking and artificial grass to make it safe and secure for the children to begin their new year.
The before...
Despite the best efforts of staff, the area was in need of a full outdoor maintenance makeover. As you can see from this areal shot, the artificial grass is covered with sand, the decking areas are in need of some TLC and the paths; with such high footfall traffic, were in need of a spruce up.
To complete this job, the team began with rejuvenation of the artificial grass. This involved a full sweep and clean of all debris and sand followed by a power brush to raise the fibres. As this area was due to be used by young children we also disinfected the area, making the area safe and pleasant.
In addition, we also completed a full power wash of the brickwork, paths and decking areas. These areas are high in traffic and the removal of any mildew or moss will help keep these areas safe during the new term.
Ross did an excellent job cleaning our astroturf and soft surface at preschool. The children have so much fun transporting resources, (especially sand) around, we tend to end up with most of it in the astroturf and the staff find it almost impossible to clean it out with brooms and jetwashers. They will be so happy to come back at the start of term to such an aesthetically pleasing sight! It certainly lifts the spirit. Jo, Potley Hill, Primary School.

The outcomes.
As you can see from the shot below, the artificial grass is looking sharp and green. The pathways are all beautifully cleaned and the decking area looks as good as new. A big well done to our team.
